Bony
Why are we not all over this bloke?

£13m, and 27 years old. He IS a 20 goals a season striker as her proved and Swansea, and one bad year at Man City where he was 4th choice and not fit doesn't mean he's 'finished'

Better than Valencia, Sakho and Carroll, yet we'd rather spend 2.5 times as much on someone 3 years older.

Don't get it. A strike force of Carroll, Bony, Fletcher and one other would be plenty good enough.

Prancer - a lot more 'welcome'? Haha. You're a mong that everyone just ignores.

Re: Bony
It's probably because he's a unit who can barely run with that fat arse, and that his real age has suddenly caught up with him.

I'd love to see Bony at West Ham. He's got a lovely seat at City though where he watches the football with his mates for a hundred grand a week.

Private Dancer is rapidly becoming a Fordstar-type character on here. An oxygen thief, bullied at school and posting snide comments from his place of safety in the mistaken idea that some people might find him amusing.

Consider him a good reason to go out and get some sunshine.

Re: Bony
Offer Bony a contract that's less than 100k but has big goal bonuses. If he's hungry to play, he'll take it. If he just wants to pick up a check by sitting on the bench, he won't.

Re: Bony
Completely depends on whether Slav thinks he's motivated or another Benni McCarthy.

Remember McCarthy being dropped by the South African team for not being fit a few months after we signed him? Was completely taking the piss.

But, as others have said, momentum of any player is important. Bacca currently has it. Bony seems to have lost it. Completely. So even at £13m I think he'd be an expensive gamble.

I'm not keen on Bacca either, tbh, but that's for footballing reasons plus the clear signals he doesn't really want to come anyway.

Yep, really needed a thread for this didn't we, fucks sake.

Re: Bony
would be benni McCarthy mk2 - a couple of years ago looked amazing but has rested on his fat wage packet and arse since getting the city move like a few other players that have gone there in the last few years.

I'd trust Slav with that Alex

Re: Bony
I think with Bony it would be pretty likely you'd get a player who knows they're on the way down, I'd worry that motivating a player like that might be a problem.

Re: Bony
And we're expecting to get a 20 goal a season striker for less than £100k a week are we?

How much were we offering Bacca? £25k a week?

geoffpikey 1:54 Sun Aug 7
Re: Bony
£100k per week contract until 2019 at MCFC that he'll want matching. That's why?
